To show how Christ have changed your life! It is now the time to wear a sign of your christianship!

The symbolism of the fish.

In the wake of the persecution of the early church, the picture of the fish became a symbol for the Christians.
They used it as a secret sign or symbol – or “password” if you like – to show that they were Christians.
Everywhere in the catacombs, the chambers and passageways of Rome which the Christians used as hide-outs, you could find the symbol of the fish inscribed on the walls.
It came from the Greek word for fish: ichthus.
This word, ichthus, was used as an acronym for what is known as the first confession in the Greek: Iesous Christos Theou Uios Soter. Meaning: Jesus Christ, son of God (our) Savior.
By carrying or “signing” the fish on the walls or in the soil as “password” to their secret meetings or to identify each other, believers in those days actually confessed Jesus Christ the son of God as their Savior.
We challenge you to carry this sign and give it as a gift as your confession whilst spreading the Gospel.
